So I’m coming into this one a bit late. In the beginning of the year, I vowed to work on one thing each month. I’ve never been a huge fan of New Year’s resolutions, because I think they set many people up for failure. Then I noticed that some of my favorite bloggers were choosing a goal for each month and focusing on that one thing. Now, I like that idea. My goal for January was to not waste and my goal for February was to purge. I shared many photos ofรย my February purging goal on this blog.รย I think I did a pretty damn good job with each of these items. My goal for March was to write a minimum of 30 minutes per day. I did alright with this goal. It is hard to measure my success though. I didn’t write daily and that is for sure. I did however complete quite a bit of new writing for my thesis, and that was the whole reason I wanted to write every day in March. So I guess overall I will consider March a success. But I won’t be boasting and bragging about it anytime soon.
So I’m a bit late to announce April’s goal. That is because I didn’t choose one until today. For April, I’d like to try to journal/scrap-journal for the majority of the month. I’m going to be revising my thesis like a maniac this month. So there will be a lot of writing and editing to do. However, through the Fierce Love course I’ve realized how much I miss journaling in my daily routine (or weekly routine even). I’m not going to stress about completing this daily, I just want to dedicate some time this month to get back into the process of journaling. Wish me luck!
Oh, I still haven’t announced my April goal either… have to get on it! ๐
I think it’s great that you chose journaling! It can be such a calming activity.
xo
I hope so!!! I found it to be important when I was actually doing the FL workbook. I want to get back on it, so we will see how it goes!
I haven’t blogged my April goal yet either. Have you heard about Project Life? It looks like an easy way to journal/scrapbook, week by week – Elise at http://eliseblaha.typepad.com does it, and it looks like fun ๐
Holly, it is so funny that you mentioned her! I jsut found her blog last week and I am obsessed with it. I put a link in my “Weekly Finds” post last week about a picture book she created, and I already started typing up my weekly finds for this week, and I put up her blog again with the Project Life links!!!! Serendipity!!! I’ve been wanting to do a Project Life book for a while now, and I keep putting it aside, but I decided to just go for it and I ordered a bunch of stuff from them today! I’m excited about it!
Good luck! You did super well in March so hopefully your goal for April is just as successful. It sounds like a lot of fun so I’m sure you’ll be able to find some time to set aside for it ๐
I hope so! I am going to try to write in a conventional journal, and I also broke down and bought Project Life, so I’m wondering if I can use that to help this goal too.
That sounds like a fun goal! Congrats on all of the writing and purging you got done. Both go a long way to clearing out space–physical space and head space!
I definitley agree! There is still so much more head and physical space to clear!
